Operating from a Mississauga base since 1997, the Company combines the experience and expertise of former Ontario Ministry of Labour employees to specialize in compliance management & training initiatives pursuant to Provincial H&S legislation or Workwell Evaluation criteria.

The introduction of this service offers clients the unique advantages of professional consultants, instructors, engineers and auditors with significant Ministry of Labour acquired training and years of practical experience, teamed to provide cost-effective assistance for companies to meet the demands of business today: And we’ll guarantee compliance with Occupational Health and Safety Act requirements.

Authorized by Professional Engineers Ontario to provide professional engineering services, we conduct Section 7 Pre-Start Health and Safety Reviews and will manage the process from on-site evaluation through to P.Eng. certification; or if preferred we offer “pre-start review” training for your Corporation’s safety and engineering departments to prepare them to administer the process internally.

In addition to these consulting initiatives, H.E.L.P. Safety Services Inc. provides approved First Aid certification services, tailored to meet the specific needs of your workplace. We also conduct Joint H&S Committee Phase 1 & 2 Certification training under the auspices of W.S.I.B. participation packages; Lift Truck and Material Handling certification, professional Machine Guarding evaluations, Fall Arrest certification and Crane Safety training, in addition to WHMIS training and complete Workwell Audit compliance services.

Ed Mitchell, P.Eng: Former Provincial Engineer with Ontario Ministry of Labour - Chaired Federal/Provincial Joint Task Force re. Confined Space Entry Regulations, and Joint Committee drafting Electrical and Machinery Lock-Out provisions. Confined Space and electrical hazards specialist, as well as hazardous fumes and emissions control. Ed has considerable experience providing expert testimony, and investigations of accidents resulting from electrical exposure.
